Front yard landscaping step 1.

Our front yard is a bit of an eyesore.  With long grass, an uneven slope and ugly landscaping... we have our work cut out for us.  After getting completely overwhelmed with the big picture, I decided to think small and put a few veggie starts in pots on the front porch.   Our next steps include finding a home for these transplanted blueberries that are starting to bud and repotting the houseplants that I had been slowly killing in the garage since the day we moved in last September.  Then Ryan began attacking the giant shrubs and we now have a substantial brush pile in the backyard.  Anyone want to stop by for a bonfire?

Back yard potential project #1000

We recently found out that the house next door is due to come down.  The tenants just moved out and supposedly some new folks are hoping to build on the lot.   We have officially adopted this old metal table that was rusting out in the back yard.  Imagine it refinished in a bright orange or light aqua...

Attic Hood Vent

This past week we climbed back through the unfinished hall closet and up into the attic to connect the kitchen hood vent.  It was a bit tricky due to the lack of flooring and blown insulation dust, but after 2 connection elbows and the right measurements...we're in business.
