Bathroom!

We recently found the original towel bar we took out months ago when we demolished the bathroom.  When we decided to hang it up again, the drywall and tile board seam came apart.

After weeks of patching, the towels are finally drying and the rack is up!
Check out our bathroom.  It's a bit small, but we love it so far.

Stump-be-gone

We finally bought a pick-ax and conquered the stump.
The neighbors across the street literally stuck their heads out their windows and cheered.  Never fear, the front yard is still a dirt patch and the stump is still sitting there... I was thinking about attaching a free sign or posting it on craigslist.  Hmm?

New Grill

The other week we coaxed Leo into the Village Gardens truck and bought a grill.  This was due to the fact that our old grill literally broke apart while flaming in the backyard and the gas line fell off.  The first time we used this giant new grill we ran out of gas and dropped the half cooked piece of salmon on the floor.  The second time... the asparagus and hotdogs were delicious.  (We didn't even need to crack into the newly purchased backup tank.)

Chimney turned Closet

Remember when we took out the chimney... while now it's time to turn that 1 1/2' x 2' space into a closet.  This means more drywall, more mudding, and more sanding.

Back hall

Just when we thought we were done with drywall... we started working on the back stairway.
We've begun patching around the new electrical box and hope to create a new coat and shoe rack sometime soon. Then comes a new paint job and some hardwood floors.

Our new best friend, the ice maker.

Finally!!! Ryan connected the water line to our ice maker!
Just in time for summer weather and perfect for really fruity beverages.

Let's get these projects started!

Our weekends have been ruled by house projects for months now... heres a little update on what we've been spending way too much time on:

The inevitable lowes runs.
The purchasing and use of a desperately needed new (used) lawn mower.
The epoxy patching process for the punctured interior wall of our brand new dishwasher....ARGHGHHH!
The re-installation and tightening of our bathroom fan due to the mysterious "rattle" that someone (ryan) heard.
The assembly of our new jacket and clothing rack... and bonus ukelele show.
